Hi, I’m Brad Martin. I’m a Financial Advisor at Blueprint Wealth.
I’d like to share a true story with you today about some clients of mine, Bob and Susan. I’ve changed their names to protect their privacy, but I hope this story really resonates with you and makes you understand why insurance for everybody is really important.
I first met Bob and Susan back in 2007 to review their superannuation. As part of reviewing their superannuation we identified they had some gaps in regards to their insurance needs. We made sure we covered these gaps and put the sufficient cover in place.
Early in 2018 Bob experienced some health conditions at work and was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. As his condition worsened, his employer was required to lay him off due to the fact that he was a greater risk because Bob worked on a production plant.
What does this mean for Bob and Susan?
Bob and Susan now had some money paid out that was able to reduce the financial stress that they had in their lives. They used this money to help clear some debt as well as setting themselves up because Bob was unable to work at the time.
Bob’s condition has continued to worsen over time to where now we’ve applied for a Total and Permanent Disability claim which the insurance company has recently approved as well.
Protection for you and your family
We now have a new plan in place. One that knows that Bob’s condition is going to get worse over time but at the same time the family needs money now to make changes around the house. The insurance money has allowed them to achieve all of these things.

Had Bob and Susan not had insurance their situation would have looked entirely different. The insurance money has allowed them to achieve all of the things they need to now whilst knowing that the financial stress they would have had is not there any longer.
