Shining a Light on Research Excellence

Blueprint Wealth was pleased to be part of Cancer Council WA’s Research Awards held on the 8th April 2016, an event which recognises and celebrates the best and brightest cancer researchers here in Western Australia. Blueprint Wealth funded the 2016 Early Career Cancer Researcher of the Year Award. Dr Belinda Guo has been awarded for her contributions to translational cancer research in WA.

This Award is one of Cancer Council WA’s Research Excellence Awards, established to recognise and celebrate researchers here in Western Australia.

Along with recognising outstanding work by cancer researchers, the Research Awards highlights important work they are leading in a diverse range of fields which has the potential to benefit many West Australians in the future. David Baruffi, Director of Blueprint Wealth said, “It was an honour to meet those researchers who are working towards a cancer-free future for our community. We are proud to support such a worthy cause that affects too many Australians.”

Dr Guo joined the Translational Cancer Pathology Laboratory in 2014, where she has applied her molecular and NGS skills to cancer research, with a focus on genomic studies of melanoma, glioma and haematological malignancies.

The partnership with Cancer Council WA is important and meaningful to the team at Blueprint Wealth. We have been providing pro-bono financial advice for the last several years to individuals who are going through cancer treatment and have seen first-hand the challenges that people face during this time. Our team is committed to continuing to provide this advice and support.
