Giving back to our community: a year in review

In 2014, Blueprint Wealth formed a partnership as Major Sponsor with Cancer Council Western Australia (CCWA), and on an annual basis, provides researchers with funding to do further research into the causes, prevention and treatment of cancer.

In addition to grant funding, the Blueprint Wealth team is committed to giving back to our local community through providing pro-bono financial advice, volunteering and fundraising throughout the year.

A Year In Review

We hope you enjoy our 2017-18 Community Year in Review video. We look forward to continuing to give back to our local community, providing advice and support in the year ahead.

About our Community Investments

Pro-Bono Financial Advice

Several of our financial advisors deliver pro-bono financial advice to individuals who are going through cancer treatment. Dealing with cancer can present significant financial challenges. Our team has seen first hand the impact of cancer on people’s lives.

Volunteering

Our team contributed 200+ volunteer hours in the last 12 months through a variety of events and activities.

They organised and hosted dinners for cancer patients who are living at CCWA’s Milroy Lodge undergoing cancer treatment. They also took part in car wash days where they washed cars for residents of CCWA’s Crawford Lodge.

For the first time in 2017, members of our team took part in Homeless Connect in November. This event brings together business and community groups to provide free services to homeless people for a day.

In February 2018, the whole team took an afternoon out to participate in Clean Up Australia where they did their part to clean up the South Perth foreshore area.

Fundraising

Our team hosts a variety of fundraising events that engage the community as well as our clients; including a Girls’ Night In evening, Poker Night fundraiser, a Daffodil Day stall in South Perth and participation in the HBF Run for a Reason. In 2017-18, we are pleased to report our funds raised for Cancer Council WA came to $17,881.
